Symptom Corrective action
If using an Ethernet RJ45 cable, verify that it is
a standard STP CAT5 or higher, straight-wired
network cable with four pairs.
If using an Ethernet RJ45 cable, verify that its
length between the network switch and the
remote device is less than 100 m (330 ft) .
If using an optical fibre cable, verify that the
cable and the SFP module are of the correct
type, and that the cable is intact/functional.
The remote device
connected to the
midspan powers up
but there is no data
link
If possible connect the remote device to a
different midspan.
