Section 2: Getting Started

AXIS HP MIO User’s Manual

HP MIO

Follow these steps and refer to the illustrations to install the AXIS HP
MIO board:

1. Switch off the printer.

2. Remove the cover plate over the MIO slot.

3. Slide the AXIS HP MIO board into place.

4. Tighten the two screws securing the rear panel.

5. Set the rotary switch in position ‘0’.

6. Switch on the printer.

The hardware installation is now completed.

Caution

Twinax users: Do not connect the printer to the IBM system before
the rotary switch is set to the correct device address (see Section 2.3).
