Set the password
When accessing the AXIS 262+ for the
first time, the ‘Configure Root Password’
dialog will be displayed.
1. Enter a password and then re-enter it, to
confirm the spelling. Click
OK
.
2. Enter the user name root in the ‘ Enter
Network Password ’ dialog.
Note: The default administrator user name
root cannot be deleted.
3. Enter the password as set above, and click
OK . If the password is lost, the AXIS 262+
must be reset to the factory default settings. See page 11.
4. Enter the same user name and password for the video login and click OK.
5. If required, click Yes to install AXIS 262 Commander , which allows viewing of the video stream in
Internet Explorer. You will need administrator rights on the computer to do this.
The Main View page of the AXIS 262+ is displayed, with links to the Setup tools which
allow you to customize the video recorder.
Setup - Provides all the tools for config-
uring the video recorder to requirements.
Note that the Main View
page shown here is an
example only. The first
time the AXIS 262+ is
accessed there will be no
video sources available -
these must be added first.
