AMI BIOS Setup Utility

 

 

 

Serial Port 1 (COM1) 

 

 

 

Serial Port 

Enable or disable serial port 1. The optimal setting for base I/O address is 3F8h and for 
interrupt request address is IRQ4. 
 

COM Port Type 

These  are  settings  for  RS-232/422/485  mode.  The  default  setting  for  all  serial  ports  is 
RS-232. The COM_TERM option appears only if RS-422 or RS-485 mode is selected, see 
images below. Use COM_TERM to enable or disable internal 120

Ω terminator.
