Removing the blade
1.
Turn the appliance upside so you can access the saw blade.
2.
Loosen the two hex screws on the blade clamp with a hex key.
3.
Remove the blade by pulling it out from the base of the jig saw.
Angle adjustment
The shoe plate can be angled to enable bevel or chamfer cuts. There are preset bevel detents
at 0° and 45° for quick adjustment.
1.
With the appliance upside down on a solid surface, use the
hex key (stored at the base of the power cord) to loosen the
hex screw securing the blade guide assembly and the shoe
plate.
2.
Move the shoe plate slightly back. It can now be tilted to the
required angle between 0° and 45° using the angle scale on
the shoe plate.
3.
Slide the shoe plate until the blade guide rests against the back of the blade.
4.
Securely tighten the hex screw.
Perform a test cut on a scrap piece before cutting the actual workpiece. Check the cut and
reset the angle until the correct cut is achieved.
The blade guide supports the blade when cutting and must always rest against the back of
the blade.
Dust extraction
The dust extraction outlet allows a dust extraction system to be
fitted to the jig saw permitting efficient dust removal whilst the
appliance is in use. The adaptor allows a standard household
vacuum cleaner to be connected to the outlet.
WARNING!
Do not use a dust extraction system or a vacuum
cleaner when cutting metal. Sparks may ignite residual wood
dust.
Switching on and off
The appliance is started by squeezing the On/Off trigger switch.
Release the trigger to stop the appliance.
CAUTION!
Allow the blade to come to a complete standstill before
setting the jig saw down.
If you press the lock-on button while the trigger switch is de-
pressed, the switch is kept in the operating position. To release the
lock-on button, press and release the trigger switch.
