OPERATING PROCEDURE (Manual Control Panel)
1. Verify the Load Bank gravity exhaust hatches are free to open and all other access doors are
closed securely.
2.
Place all switches on the Load Bank control panel in the OFF position and set auto manual
switch (S14) to MANUAL.
3.
Apply power to the fan/blower circuit by energizing the external 460 VAC, 3-phase, 60 Hz
power source.
4.
Verify control circuit has 120 VAC, single phase, 60 Hz power.

C A U T I O N
Voltage must not be connected to the Load Bank resistive elements if
an overtemperature alarm switch opens. It is the responsibility of the
end user to ensure all load is dropped if an overtemperature alarm is
detected.

Energize the generator under test.
6.
Place the POWER ON switch to the ON position. A pilot light (DS1) will be energized,
indicating control power is present.
7.
Push the blower power START pushbutton. Note that all of the AIR FAILURE indicators
(DS5 through DS12) are on. After the blower motors reach proper speed, the operator must
press the fault reset pushbutton (S5) to unlatch the AIR FAILURE and
OVERTEMPERATURE faults. Load voltage will not be connected to the Load Bank
resistance elements unless the airflow switches have closed and the FAULT RESET
pushbutton is pressed.
