Bluetooth connection

To connect a smart phone or tablet to the media player for wireless playback, select Bluetooth
mode on the media player, enable Bluetooth on the sending device and scan for available

devices. The Bluetooth ID for t

he media player is “PA SYSTEM”.

Select to pair the device and connect with the media player. Playback of tracks on the sending
device should be heard through the speaker. PLAY/PAUSE, PREVIOUS and NEXT buttons will

also send control signals back to the sending device for track control and navigation.

Bluetooth connection has a range of 5-8m. When the sending device is out of range, the
connection will be lost and will need to be connected again once back within range.

True Wireless Stereo

The internal Bluetooth receiver has a TWS function. This means that another QXPA unit with
the same media module can be paired with it so that they play back audio files from a smart

phone wirelessly in stereo. To pair 2 QXPA units in TWS, do the following.

1.

Switch OFF the Bluetooth of the smart phone, (for the first pairing process, after
which there is no need to switch off the smart phone)

2.

Switch ON both QXPA units, and press MODE select BLUETOOTH mode (for both

units). Press and hold the PLAY key for 3 seconds on the master unit.

3.

After a short time, both QXPA units will be paired (one will be the left channel other
will be the right channel)

4.

Switch ON the Bluetooth of the smart phone and connect to the master unit.

5.

Bluetooth playback of files from the smart phone will now be through both QXPA

units in stereo

Remote control

In addition to the panel controls, an infra-red remote control is provided for the USB/SD player

which adds some further functions to allow greater control over the media player.

To operate, remove the clear plastic tab from the remote control to activate the battery.
Point the remote control towards the media player display to operate.

Controls on the remote handset duplicate most of the onboard media player controls as

indicated on each button.

Turn down all volume controls on the QXPA unit before powering down to avoid loud noises.
