Initial setup
Place your AMX switch and AMX5130 user
station in the desired locations. Rack mounting
brackets for the AMX switch are included for
easy rack installation.
Connecting power
Power down your systems. Attach one end
of each appropriate power cord to your AMX
switch and to your AMX5130 user station. Plug
the other end of each cord into an appropriate
AC wall outlet.
Connecting to the LAN
Insert one end of a UTP cable attached to your
LAN into the network port on the back of the
AMX switch.
Connecting the AMX5130 user station
to the AMX switch
Insert one end of a UTP cable attached to the
user station into a numbered user port on the
AMX switch for each user in your system.
Connecting the AMX switch to a server
Insert one end of a UTP cable into one of the
numbered server ports on the switch, and fas-
ten the opposite end into the RJ-45 port on an
AMIQDM (dual port/multimedia) module. Plug the
AMIQDM module connectors into the appropriately
labeled ports on your server for each computer to be
connected to your AMX switch.
