Introduction
Please try to determine the nature of the malfunction and localise it as accurately as possible.
Follow the problem-solving strategies below and attempt to carry out all suggested measures.
If an error cannot be rectified, please contact your AVL DiTEST branch office or AVL DiTEST sales
partner in your country, see section 6

Error messages
The error messages that you may encounter are listed below together with possible solutions.
Make sure that the AVL DiTEST HV Safety 2000 is correctly connected to the USB connection
on the AVL MDS-PC.
If necessary, disconnect the AVL DiTEST HV Safety 2000 from the USB connection on the
AVL MDS-PC, wait a few seconds and then reconnect it.
Error message

Repeat the measurement
Firmware not running (run mode)
Quit the current measurement function and
restart
A transient current occurred
Repeat the measurement
A transient voltage occurred
Repeat the measurement
Error during self-test
Repeat the self-test
If the error persists, please contact AVL
DiTEST customer service
Error during discharge
Repeat the measurement
High voltage could not be generated

Safety test failed

If the repeat safety test fails, check the
equipment hardware
