Fit the whole assembly to the subchassis using the M3 x 20 bolts, M3
washers and M3 nuts supplied. Do not tighten down and keep loose.

Fit the arm wand making sure the arm connecting cable is not
caught. Fit into the receiving socket and check movement is not

restricted. If it is you may need to reposition the sockets orientation.

Adjust the arm holder to the correct height using the locking screw.

Now remove the wand the fit your cartridge. Set the tracking weight
using the counterweight and suitable scales. With the bearing,

You now need to check the lift lower height is correct.
Most cartridges will work with the cue mechanism fitted, however to

increase the height add one or two spacers supplied.
To do this, simply remove the two retaining bolts and place the

washers underneath, refitting as in the two pictures below.

You may find some cartridges that are very high, such as Dynavector
that spacers will not be enough. An additional higher cue casing is

included which can be fitted to give you the correct height.
The cue mechanism will need transferring from one to the other and
you should either consult your dealer or contact us if you have

difficulty with this.

Refit the cue mechanism with the longer bolts supplied.
Replace the arm and make any final adjustments altering the height

of the arm cue bar as required.
Refit the arm wand and make sure the tracking weight is still correct.

Using the protractor supplied adjust the overhang.

The protractor has been specifically designed for the Naim ARO.
It should make it easy to obtain the correct alignment by placing the

stylus on the centre mark and then ‘sliding’ the base back and forth
until the cartridge is correctly aligned.
Notice that the edge of the head shell can be used for alignment.

liding the arm back and forth is simply done by moving the carriage.
