Network IP Addresses
When setting up the AirSpeed, you must use a static IP address. Dynamic Host
Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is not supported in the initial release of
AirSpeed. The “Obtain IP Address Automatically” described in the
Avid
AirSpeed Installation and Setup Guide
has been removed from the AirSpeed
UI for the initial release. For more information see,

This initial release of AirSpeed supports capturing media through the serial
digital interface (SDI) directly into workspaces on the Avid Unity
MediaNetwork. A future release will add the capability of playing the media
out as a media server. The following are the features not supported in the
initial release:

The
Avid
AirSpeed Installation and Setup Guide
states that software
updates are performed using the USB connector. Although some
manufacturing functions can be performed through the USB connector,
the software updates are performed through the network as described in
the guide. The use of a USB keyboard or mouse is not supported on the
USB connector.
