Loading the Windows 10 Pro Restore Image
This topic contains information on how to load the Windows 10 Pro based 64-bit restore image on
your AirSpeed 5500 system.

During this procedure, you must disconnect (but do not fully remove) the media drives. This is
to make sure that the correct drives (such as the system drives) are re-imaged, and not the
media drives. This also ensures that the media drive contents are protected.
To load the Windows 10 Pro based Restore image:
1. Turn off your system.
2. Unlatch and disconnect, (it is not necessary to fully remove) the ten (10) media drives from the
chassis.
3. Insert the USB Flash Drive (UFD) into one of the USB ports on the back of the AirSpeed 5500
server.
4. Restart the AirSpeed 5500 server.
You will be asked to “Press any key to continue.” This is because the drives are no longer seated.
Press any key to continue. The system will begin to start up.
5. Press the
Delete
key during startup to enter the system BIOS.
The BIOS SETUP UTILITY opens.
6. Navigate to the Boot Tab, and select
Hard Disk Drives
. Then, do the following:
a. Make sure the 1st Drive is set to UFD, and press
Enter
.
b. Make sure the 2nd Drive is set to
RAID: Intel Volume0
.
c. Press
ESC
to return to the Boot tab.
7. Select the Boot Device Priority menu. Then, do the following:

Make sure the 1st Boot Device displays the UFD that you changed to on the Hard Disk
Drives menu.
8. Press
F10
.
You will be asked if you want to Save configuration changes and exit setup.
9. With
Ok
selected, press
Enter
to save your configuration settings, and reboot the system.
The AvidPE Restore Menu opens. The Avid PE Restore Menu is often behind another window.
So, click it to make it the active window.

IMPORTANT:
When you are done installing the AirSpeed 5000 application on the AirSpeed 5000 or
AirSpeed 5500 server, a dialog box opens, asking if you want to reboot your system. Make sure all
other applications are closed, and then click
Yes
.
If outdated, or not in sync, the Carme and Neptune will automatically be updated when the AirSpeed
5000 application is launched.
