Entering the service data

In order to obtain static information on parts subject to wear, the
replacement of these parts must be stored in the device as part of every
service job.
The service data are entered as follows:
Service entry
1. Reset printer with keys FEED+CUT(NEXT)+ON/OFF.
Display: Version number, then INIT blinks.
2. While INIT is blinking, press the ON/OFF key.
Display: CODE.
3: Press the following keys one after the other:
ON/OFF
ON/OFF
FEED
CUT(NEXT)
ON/OFF
ON/OFF
Display: OFF.
4. Select the parameter OTHR/SERV and confirm with the ON/OFF key.
Display: YES?
5. Confirm the security question YES? with the ON/OFF key.
When SERV is selected, the service-job counter is incremented by 1. This
also takes place if SERV is exited without a change having been made.
The following service data can be changed:
–
HEAD
–
ROLL
–
KNIF
6. Select the replaced part (e.g. HEAD).
Display: currently valid value for HEAD.
7. Press ON/OFF key to increment the displayed value by 1.
Display: new value blinking.
8. Press the ON/OFF key to confirm the new value (or leave the menu item
unchanged by pressing the FEED or CUT(NEXT) keys). Display: HEAD
9. Select the next replaced part (e.g. ROLL or KNIF) and increment the
displayed service values
or
exit the menu item SERV by pressing the FEED or CUT(NEXT) keys.
After completing the service entries (after exiting SERV) the entered access
code is deleted automatically.
In order to access the menu item SERV again, you have to reset again and
repeat the code entry.
