Us e option 4 to c reate a field that us es data from another field. This c reates m erged fields or
s ub-fields . Copy the inform ation from m ultiple fields into one field by applying the c opy proc edure
m ore than onc e. Copy data is the only option that c an be applied to a field m ore than onc e.
The m axim um num ber of c harac ters defined in T 3 (
# of char
) or B3 (

) m us t allow for the
total num ber of c harac ters that will be plac ed in the field, inc luding pric e, c hec k digit, or fixed
c harac ters ins erted by the printer. The m axim um num ber of c harac ters in the field c annot exc eed
2710 or the m axim um num ber of c harac ters perm itted by the bar code .
Option 4 c an be applied to an RFID Data Field. W ith Vers ion 1.8 or greater firm ware, the printer
s upports c opying ASCII Hex data and c onverting it to ASCII Dec im al data.
Note : W hen c opying from m ore than one field, c opy into the des tination field from left to right.

R2. 4 Option 4 .
R3. s rc fld Field num ber from whic h data is c opied. Range: 0 to 999 . 1 is the
default.
R4. s rc s tart Pos ition num ber in the s ourc e field of the firs t c harac ter to be
c opied. Charac ter pos itions are num bered
1 to 2710 , s tarting
from the left. 1 is the default.
R5. # to c opy Num ber of c harac ters to c opy. Range: 1 to 2710 . 1 is the
default. For c opy c odes 5 and 6 (ASCII hex s ourc e), this value is
in bits .
R6. des t s tart Pos ition num ber where c opied c harac ters are to begin printing in
the des tination field. Range:
1 to 2710 .
R7. c opy c ode Copy Method. 1 is the default.
