Eartrace-Handheld-Reader-RH7-05-21-EN-IS

The RH7 can read all ISO 11784 and 
11785 compliant animal transponders 
(FDX-B and HDX) as well as FDX-A and 
EM4102 transponders.

Switch Reader Off
Press the ‘ON/OFF’ button for about 
2 seconds. In case of inactivity the reader 
switches off automatically after about 
2 minutes. 

Charging Battery
Connect the reader to a computer or an 
USB power supply. When fully charged 
the LED changes from red to green. 
The battery status is shown in the upper 
right corner of the OLED display.

Reader Configuration
From initial scan view press ‘UP’ once and
enter Settings by pressing ‘OK’. The menu
offer configuration of Language, Memory,
Bluetooth

®

, Hex. For selecting the desired

function please press ‘OK’.

Scroll to ‘Bluetooth’ and press ‘OK’ for
disabling or enabling communication
via Bluetooth

. When enabled the LED

is blue. For saving battery power please
disable Bluetooth

Reading Transponders
Switch on the reader, wait until ‘Scan’ 
Is shown and press ‘OK’. Approach the 
reader antenna to the transponder. 
After detecting a transponder the 
identification number is shown on the 
OLED display. For another reading press 
‘OK’ again.

Continuous Scan
Continuous reading can be activated by
scrolling down from initial scan view to
‘Continuous Scan’ and pressing ‘OK’.
