1) WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
These devices can only be used in the context of an alarm system and in accordance with what is described in this manual and in the manual of the compatible
control units of the system (code AF927PLUS and AF927PLUSTC). They can be installed inside rooms, within the indicated temperature limits.
The opening of the appliances, with the exception of the battery compartment, leads to the immediate forfeiture of the industrial warranty. Any other use is to
be considered improper and prohibited. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper use of the product, other than that described in this
manual. Read carefully this manual in all its parts.
1.1) DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY
The manufacturer, AVE S.p.A., declares that the type of radio equipment AF970R-DB complies with directive 2014/53 / EU.

2) GENERAL
The device is a radio keypad that allows partial or, total activation and disarming of the alarm system by means of a composite numeric code 5 or 6 digits
(depending on the programming carried out on the control unit), with confirmation of the maneuver carried out shown on the display. The display is backlit and
displays status feedback and active anomalies in the system.
On board the device there is an integrated RFID reader that allows to activate or deactivate the alarm system by tapping the transponder closer to it.
The control unit in configuration mode automatically recognizes the device when the batteries are inserted. Before inserting the batteries into the device, read the
instruction manual and follow the instructions of the control panel.
Device supplied with CR123 battery.
3) PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
A. Display
B. Function buttons:
ESC: press the button access to the menu for sending requests for help;
ENTER: access the “RELAYS” menu or access the selected submenu;
C. Numeric buttons:
they are used to choose the desired functions (eg “1: Area 1”);
D. ON, OFF buttons:
ON: activates the selected function (e.g. alarm activation);
OFF: deactivates the selected function (e.g. system disarming);
E. Control buttons:
use the control buttons
(Up) and
(Down) to scroll the menu items.
PAY ATTENTION:
the keypod allows the management scroll of only the devices connected to the system.To pair the device to the control unit, ollow the instructions given in point 4.
4) INSTALLATION, POSITIONING AND FIXING
Release the keypod from its support by separating the two products (see figure 1.1).
Remove the fixing compartment cover (see figure 1.2)
Fix the keypod support on a smooth wall using the screws and dowels supplied with the product (see figure 1.3-4-5).
5) ASSOCIATION OF THE KEYPOD TO THE CENTRAL UNIT:
To associate the keypad with the control panel, perform the following operations:
1.
Enter the “settings” menu and enter the installer code;
2.
Enter the “Devices and areas” menu;
3.
Press the “Devices” button and select “Add other devices”;
4.
Press the “Add device via radio” button (the control unit will display the image in figure 5);
5.
Insert the CR123 battery into the device paying attention to respect the correct polarity;
6.
Select the areas that the keypod must manage;
7.
Press ok and wait for the confirmation message from the control panel;
8.
Exit the menu.
6) SYSTEM ARMING / DISARMING:
Press any button on the keypod to turn on the LCD of the same.
To scroll between the items in the menus, use the
(Up) and
(Down) buttons.
To select an area, enter the digits that represent the area itself (e.g. Area 2 = button 2).
NOTE:
: If an incorrect user code is entered three times, all operations will be inhibited for 180 seconds.
1. TOTAL ARMING:
enter the user code and wait for the arming / disarming menu to appear;
Press the ON button making sure that the “TOTAL” item is selected (see figure 8);
2. PARTIAL ARMING:
Enter the user code and wait for the arming / disarming menu to appear;
Position the cursor on the “Areas” line and press the ENTER button (see figure 9);
Select the areas to be inserted by pressing the button with the number corresponding to the desired area (see figure 10);
Press the ON button to activate the partial arming of the control unit.
3. DISARMING:
enter the user code and wait for the on / off menu to appear; Press the OFF button.
The total system arming / disarming procedure is also possible using a transponder key art. AF340-T.
1. TOTAL ARMING:
with the system disarmed, bring the transponder key close to the keypod for one second and move it away from the reader;
2. PARTIAL ARMING:
with the system disarmed, bring the transponder key close to the keypod until the system has been armed partially;
3. DISARMING:
with the system armed, bring the transponder key close to the keypod for one second and move it away from the reader
7) REPLACEMENT OF THE BATTERY
Replace the device battery when it is reported on the keypod LCD or from the control panel.
To replace the battery, carry out the following instructions:
1.
Place the control unit in TEST (see Control unit instructions);
2.
Release the keypod from the wall support;
3.
Open the battery compartment cover located on the back of the device (see figure 2);
4.
Remove the exhausted battery and insert the new one (use a CR123A 3V battery) (see figure 3.1);
5.
When inserting the battery, the keypod display will show the symbol in fig. 5 for a few seconds and then it will switch off. At the following restart, the page with the information from the control panel
will be displayed.
6.
Close the battery compartment cover (see figure 3.2).
PAY ATTENTION:
the battery must be disposed of in the appropriate collectors in accordance with current regulations, even in the case of scrapping of the appliance, from which it must be previously removed.
8) TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
With the aim of improving its products, AVE S.p.a. reserves the right to change the technical characteristics at any time and without notice while maintaining functionality and intended use. Besides as already
described, the following technical characteristics refer to the ambient temperature of 20 ° C (+/- 5 ° C) and to normal use of the appliance (residential environment).
