3CX PnP Provisioning
In
(Address allocation for private Internets) compliant local networks, if the 3CX server
and the phones are in the same subnet, the phones can auto-discover the provisioning server by
using 3CX Plug-and-play (PnP) provisioning. PnP provisioning uses IPv4 multicast address
(224.0.1.75), from IANA reserved addresses in the Internetwork Control Block (224.0.1.255) [
].
If the phone does not receive a provisioning server address from DHCP, LLDP, or DES, the phone
initiates PnP-based auto-discovery. The phone sends a SUBSCRIBE request to the special
