7 How to use DeviceNet Configuration Tools
It is required to set the proper environment for using ARD(analog) Series, Autonics DeviceNet
unit.
The program for environment setting is DeviceNet Configuration Tools program.
This program makes DeviceNet master unit recognize DeviceNet slave units and you can set the
environment setting (parameter settings).
This manual describes with a representivie program of DeviceNet Configuration Tools,
RSNetWorx for DeviceNet program of Rockwell.
DeviceNet master unit is 1784PCIDS of Allen-Bradley.
DeviceNet slave units are ARD-AI04, DeviceNet analog input unit, and ARD-AO04, DeviceNet
analog output unit of Autonics.
7.1 How to use RSLinx
7.1.1 Add EDS file
1st Select Start >Rockwell Software>RSLinx>Tools>EDS Hardware Installation Tool and
run EDS Hardware Installation Tool.
2nd Click ‘Add’ to add the EDS of ARD-AI04, DeviceNet analog input unit of Autonics.
