About This Guide

This guide describes how to set up the HP Z800 workstation hardware and wiring for an Autodesk

®

 Visual

Effects, Finishing, or Colour Grading application. This includes Autodesk

®

 Lustre

®

, and the following Visual

Effects and Finishing applications: Autodesk

®

If you already own an HP Z800 workstation shipped with a previous release of your Visual Effects, Finishing
and Colour Grading application, you do not need to change its configuration. But, you do need to verify
its BIOS settings.

NOTE

In most cases, both hardware setup and application installation is done on delivery by an authorized

technician. If this is the case, please keep this guide as a reference, in case you decide to move the workstation,
change a peripheral, replace an adapter card, etc.
