
Editing a Ceiling Sketch
You can modify ceilings by modifying the sketch. You can move the lines by dragging them or by modifying
dimensions. You can also change the ceiling properties to change the height of the ceiling above the level.

Ceiling Properties
You can modify several properties for ceilings, ceiling sketch lines, and ceiling slope arrows.
Modifying Ceiling Properties

If you are in sketch mode, click Create Ceiling Boundary tab

Properties. If you are in a plan view, select the ceiling, and click Modify Ceilings tab

In the Instance Properties dialog, edit ceiling instance parameters.

Click Edit Type to edit ceiling type parameters.
NOTE
Changes made to type parameters affect all ceilings of this type in the project. You can click
Duplicate to create a new ceiling type.

Graphics
The fill pattern for a ceiling displayed at a coarse detail level.
Coarse Scale Fill Pattern
Applies a color to the fill pattern for a ceiling in a coarse-scale view.

Identity Data
Add or edit the ceiling keynote. Click in the value box to open the Keynotes dialog.

Specify the model for the materials comprising the ceiling.
Model
The manufacturer for the ceiling materials.
Manufacturer
General comments about the ceiling type. This information can be included in a
schedule.
