Warnings
• Never look directly at a lighted UV lamp. Ultraviolet rays can be harmful to eyes.
• Always shut off water to system and disconnect power when servicing.
• Internal components are fragile.
• Austin Springs products are designed to provide years of trouble-free service if properly maintained.
• Retain these instructions for future service or usage information.
UV installation instructions
1. Unpack boxes and verify that all required components are
included.
2. Inspect each component for damage.
3. Attach post-filter to water line after the whole house filter
tank. Do not over tighten fittings, as this may cause leakage
and broken fittings. Do NOT use pipe dope. The use of pipe
dope voids the warranty. You may used certified pipe-primer,
glue and Teflon tape.
4. Determine location for the UV system:
A. The UV filter must be installed with the sumps oriented
vertically.
B. Mounting point should allow sufficient room above and
below UV system to service the sumps and UV lamp without
removing the UV system. The minimum space is 20” (above
and below).
5. For ease of mounting, reduce the weight of the larger systems
by removing the sumps and filters prior to installing the
mounting bracket.
6. Select a location and install the mounting bracket using the
provided screws.
Insert the metal sleeve into the
housing sump.
Inspect to make sure the o-ring
is not missing and is properly
sitting in its groove.
Place and align the flat rubber
washer on the top of the metal
sleeve.
Insert the quartz sleeve into
bottom of the top housing.
Gently press in and slightly
twist until quartz sleeve
completely passes the o-ring.
Carefully lower the top housing
& quartz sleeve into the housing
sump & metal sleeve.
Carefully attach top housing
to the housing sump. Twist
the top housing clockwise to
tighten and insert pin, which
activates control module.
Insert the uv lamp into the
bottom of the control module.
Carefully lower the uv lamp
into the assembled uv system
& attach the control module
to the top housing using the
provided screws.
Do not

If you are installing the AS-WH as a stand-alone system, disregard the instructions on this page. These instructions cover
the installation of the UV Well Kit attachments including the Post-Filter and Ultraviolet Filter.
Caution:
do not use any
damaged components. If damage is found, please call Austin Springs at 866-238-5855 for replacement parts.
Post-Filter
The 0.35-micron post-filter should be installed directly before the UV filter. The post-filter is designed to pre-condition
water as it enters the UV filter.
