Safety – Read before operating engine
Danger:
Jet engine exhaust can set fire to flammable materials such as dry grass, fabric,
fuel, wood, etc. Ensure your model is well protected from the jet exhaust and keep all
flammable materials away from the exhaust of the engine. Do not use the engine
where fire bans exist.
Danger:
Turbine rotates at very high rpm. In case of failure or ingestion of foreign
objects, parts can be ejected from the engine, causing injury or death. DO NOT stand
directly beside the engine while starting or running.
Danger:
Do NOT modify the engine in any way. This could lead to failure of the engine
rotor and injury or death.
Danger:
Engine emits fumes which are not breathable. Only run the engine in a well
ventilated space.
Warning:
Engine has high speed rotating parts. Keep fingers well clear of engine inlet
and outlet while connected to power supply.
Warning:
Jet engine inlet has high suction. Loose objects can be drawn in leading to
failure of the engine. Keep hands clear of the engine inlet as fingers can be sucked into
the engine. Protect your engine with a screen (FOD screen).
Warning:
Jet engines are very noisy during operation. Wear hearing protection when
operating the engine.
Warning:
Engine will be hot during and after operation. The rear part of the engine
and the exhaust can reach temperatures up to 700 C. Keep clear.
