APPENDIX 1 Troubleshooting
Problem
Solution
1.
No Video Signal.
a.
Check that the power plug is properly inserted into a functioning power
outlet.
b.
Make certain source is on.
c.
Make certain destination is on
d.
Swap out HDMI cable
e.
Make certain HDMI cable is properly rated for the resolution vs the
length of the cable.
f.
Make certain the display can handle the resolution of the EDID learned
for the display on output 1.
2.
No Audio
a.
If the display on output 1 is Dolby capable and the display having audio
issue does not this will cause the issue. Put display with common
denominator (least capability) on output 1 and recycle power to the
splitter.
3.
LED is not lit
b.
Check 5v power supply is plugged in.
c.
Check to see if Wall supply is plugged into wall outlet.
d.
Make certain wall outlet has power.
4.
EDID did not take
a.
Recycle power to source device or unplug and make certain display is
connected to output 1.
