A RPN has to be assigned to each repeater. Dial a digit between 2 and 7 (the base station has
the RPN 1) in off-hook state (you may have to press the hook key
H
first). The repeater con-
firms the entered digit by a flashing signal (e.g. RPN= 4, LED flashes 4 times). If you use many
repeaters on the same base station, each repeater needs to have a different RPN (

now.

The repeater restarts in the normal mode with the new login code. The LED of the repeater
glows permanently now. The repeater is ready for operation. If the LED flashes quickly, the
repeater is not logged-in, e.g. because the RPN has already been assigned.

If you like to login further repeaters on the base station with this procedure, you can switch off the
previously logged-in repeaters (remove the power supply from the 230 V outlet) to avoid an
unwanted cascading of the repeaters.
Cascade the Repeaters
If you like to cascade two or three repeaters (a maximum of three is possible), the login has to be
done via PC. You will need the „COMfort DECT Repeater Tools“ (special accessory of Auerswald).
It contains an adapter cable, a PC cable for the V.24 interface and the corresponding PC program
ServiceTool.
햲
Plug the Western modular plug of the adapter cable into the jack on the back of the repeater
(
햳
Then plug the Western modular plug of the PC cable into the wider jack of the adapter and the
Western modular plug of the wall power supply (of the repeater) into the second narrower jack.
햴
Now connect the PC cable to the serial interface (V.24) of your PC.
