Physical Description of Rear Panel 

 

CPU 

Central processing unit (CPU) module, providing: 

 

Reset pinhole 

\\ 

button for resetting the device (2-10 second press) and restoring 

factory defaults (11-30 second press) 

 

STAT

 LED indicating CPU status (same as 

SYS

 LED on front panel)

 

 

RS-232 serial interface port (RJ-45)

 

 

USB Type-A 

 port which can be used, for example, for various storage capabilities 

with an external USB hard drive or flash disk

 

 

2 x 100/1000Base-T (Gigabit) Ethernet ports (RJ-45) with status LED:

 

         Green On 

Ethernet link established 

         Green Flashing  Data is being received or transmitted 

         Off 

No Ethernet link 

 

PS1 / PS2 

Power Supply modules with status LED: 

 Green On 

Connected to power source, chassis receiving power and Power 

Supply module's fan is operating normally 

 Orange Flashing 

Connected to power source, but chassis not receiving power or 

fault detected in Power Supply module's fan. 

If only one of the Power Supply modules is connected to the 

power source, the LED on the disconnected Power Supply 

module flashes orange. 

 Off 

No power 

 

3  FXS Blades 

Each FXS blade provides 3 FXS port connectors (50-pin Telco connector of Centronics 

type). Each connector provides 24 FXS interfaces and therefore, each blade provides up to 

72 FXS interfaces (3 x 24 FXS). The device can be housed with up to 4 FXS blades. Each 

blade provides a status LED: 

 Green On 

FXS blade initialization completed and functioning normally 

 Orange On 

Less than a third of the FXS ports are out of service. 

 Red On 

FXS blade initialization has not completed or a failure detected 

in the FXS blade due to more than a third of the FXS ports are 

out of service or a DSP failure  

 Off 

No power
