The ideal procedure is to have one person standing behind the loudspeaker, carefully gripping the box
with both hands; the best place is at the top on the front side. Make absolutely sure that you do not
touch or reach into the drivers when handling the loudspeakers, as this may cause irreparable damage
to the drivers.

The person standing behind the loudspeaker should now tip it back slightly in his or her direction. Now
the second person can attach the first metal traverse on the floor. Beforehand, place one of the washers
onto one of the long flange screws and insert the screw into the appropriate opening in the traverse.

Align the traverse, with the ball feet facing downward, with the front underside of the loudspeaker - the
appropriate opening is easy to locate by touch - and initially hand-tighten the screw. Repeat this procedure
with the second flange screw on the other side of the traverse.

Now tighten both flange screws, using the included hex key. Firmly tighten the screws. Optimal firmness
is reached after turning the screws around roughly 7 times.

Repeat the procedure accordingly, in order to fasten the second traverse on the loudspeaker bottom in
the rear area of the loudspeaker.

Now you can effortlessly move the loudspeakers without having to fear any damage to flooring. To do
so, always place one hand roughly at mid-height of the loudspeaker below the front chassis (not at the
top, as you want to avoid a tipping motion) and place the other hand on the rounded back at the same
height. With slight pressure, the loudspeaker can thus be moved conveniently. Make sure that you do
not touch the drivers when handling the loudspeakers, as this may cause irreparable damage to the
drivers.

Preferably working together with another person, move the loudspeaker to the position in your room
where you wish to operate the CARDEAS 30 LJE. Prior to fine-tuning their position, connect the
loudspeakers to your hi-fi system.
Connecting the Loudspeakers
1.
Please switch off all equipment in your Hifi system before you begin to connect your loudspeakers.
2.
Attach the loudspeaker cable to the connectors on the loudspeakers. When doing so, please make
sure that you have the right polarity. As a rule, loudspeaker cables are accordingly labelled, either by
a permanent marking on one of the two conductors of the cable by “+“ and “-“ markings on the
cable ends.
3.
Now connect the cable to your amplifier and make sure that you have the right polarity here.

The CARDEAS`s connectors, which are shown in the image above, accept both spades and banana
plugs. Loose cable strands oxidise easily and are not suitable for a permanently high-quality listening
experience.

large diameter-cables with both spades and
banana plugs. The connectors are extensively
decoupled from the loudspeakers cabinet (dark
red ring) in order to avoid losing even the tiniest
detail of the sound. As a result, vibrations cannot
be transmitted to the connectors and have no
negative impact on contact reliability.
