gine lid is open.

A warning lamp in the driver information system indicates that
the level is too low.

Water drain for oil filler neck: checking
for dirt
Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Battery filler bottle - VAS 5045-
♦ Or: Measuring cup
Procedure:
– Clean sealing surface of oil filler neck with a lint-free cloth.
– Using battery filler bottle - VAS 5045- or a measuring cup, pour
water into water drain hose of oil filler neck and check that
water drains from end of hose.
– Remove excess water from area of oil filler neck with a lint-free
cloth.
Note
When pouring in the water, ensure that the oil filler cap is closed.
