Automatic Climate Control

System Controls

The advanced climate control system is accessed in the lower display and offers 4-zone heating and cooling, rear-seat 
control of the system and a number of other interior environment improvement features. 

Driver and Passenger Controls

1. 

AUTO

 

Maintains your selected temperature by automatically  
regulating the temperature, fan speed and airflow. The A/C  
turns on automatically to condition and dehumidify the air. 
Changing the air distribution or fan speed will turn off the  
AUTO function. 

2. 

Seat Heating

 

Select one of three seat heating levels by pressing repeatedly.

Seat Ventilation

 

Select one of three seat ventilation levels by pressing  
repeatedly.

4. 

A/C

 

When illuminated, A/C is on. 

5. 

A/C Max 

Quickest way to cool the cabin. It automatically returns  
to normal operation once desired temperature is achieved.

6. 

OFF

 

Deactivates the climate control system.

7. 

AUTO Recirculate  

 

During recirculation, the air intake will close and interior air will be filtered and recirculated. In AUTO mode, 
recirculation will occur automatically based on air quality sensors and outside temperature.

Defrost MAX (not shown)  

  

 

Automatically adjusts the settings to increase the ability to defog/defrost the windows. Temperature should be set at 
72°F (22°C) or higher. 

9. 

Rear Defrost (not shown)  

 

 

Activates the electric rear window defroster, when the engine is running. Depending on outside temperature, this  
will switch off after 10-20 minutes. 

10. 

Temperature

 

Tap or slide to adjust temperature on either side.

Airflow

 

Choose any combination of airflow directions. 

12. 

Blower

 

Select one of six fan speeds. Ensure the blower is on to help prevent the windows from fogging, and to help ensure 
continuous exchange of air inside the vehicle. 

Additional Functions

Selecting  

 

 gives access to more cabin environment controls in the upper display.

Customizable Buttons

 

The buttons on either side of the     button can be changed to a different climate control function. Press and hold  
the symbol for the desired function on the upper display for at least three seconds. A menu appears with two 
sections. Pull the icon to the left to assign the function to the left-hand button or to the right for the right-hand 
button.

SYNC

 

Sets all areas of the cabin to the same settings. SYNC can also be activated by “pinching” two fingers together 
between the temperatures shown on the lower display. 

15. 

REAR

 

Sends control of the climate control system to the rear center console remote. Press REAR again to exit this mode.

Climate Control Preconditioning

Climate Control Preconditioning

 

Drawing energy from the high voltage battery, this feature allows heating and cooling when the ignition is off.  
Maximum preconditioning is 30 minutes. To activate immediately, select     then select     then press immediate start. 
The remaining time is displayed. Preconditioning can be set with up to two timers. Prior to set departure time, climate 
control will activate and remain on until 10 minutes after the set departure time.

Timer Programming (not shown) 

You can set the preconditioning timer for up to six days in the future to precondition the vehicle’s temperature, seat 
ventilation and defrost the windows before departure.
