3.0 TDI clean diesel
Clean and diesel. The two words may not sound like natural partners, but our advances over the
years have made it possible. The 3.0 TDI engine available in the Audi Q7 features two new
technologies – a DeNOx catalytic converter and AdBlue
® tank – which help to make it one of the
cleanest-running diesel cars available today.
The AdBlue ® tank contains a biodegradable additive which is injected in tiny doses upstream of
the DeNOx catalytic converter, where it breaks down harmful nitrogen oxides into plain nitrogen
and water. This cuts nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 90 percent, meaning that the Audi Q7 3.0
TDI clean diesel quattro
® already complies with the EU 6 emissions standard planned for 2014.
