Attention
To make sure that no rain or other liquids can enter the loudspeaker when mounted
outside, a special construction is provided at the inner side of the bass port. This
construction is only useful when the loudspeaker is mounted in the correct position.
When the loudspeaker is mounted in horizontal position, the loudspeaker must be
positioned with the “AUDAC” logo on the side standing upright (in readable position), but
when the loudspeaker is mounted in vertical position, the loudspeaker must be positioned
with the tweeter on the top side of the loudspeaker.
Connecting the loudspeaker
On the rear side of the WX802/OB is a special waterproof 5-pin connector provided. This allows
to connect the loudspeaker to the amplifier output. A special included connection cable should be
used. Always connect the white conductor of the connection cable to the COM output of the
amplifier and the black connection terminal to the positive terminal of the amplifier output.
Mind the polarity markings when wiring the loudspeaker cables.
Power settings
The power settings of the WX802/OB can be made by rotating the
waterproof connector on the rear side of the loudspeaker. On the cable
part of the connector is a white dot displayed. Depending of the
position of the white dot, the desired power can be selected. The
corresponding powers are shown on the sticker on the rear side of the
loudspeaker. The power / impedance of the loudspeaker can be set in 3
adjustable steps of impedance for 100V (60 Watt, 30 Watt, 15 Watt)
and 1 step for 16 Ohm standard low impedance applications.
1)
16 Ohm / 70 Watt
2)
60 Watt / 167 Ohm
3)
30 Watt / 333 Ohm
4)
15 Watt / 667 Ohm
When the loudspeaker is connected to 70.7V facilities, the power indicated in the table above
will be reduced to half the power, and when connected to 50V facilities, the power will be
reduced to a quarter.
When the desired power tap is selected, the loudspeaker is ready to be used.
