Introduction

Line Transformer

The AUDAC ATU44 is a universal input adaptor which can be used for a wide varity of
connections and extensions.

One of it’s possibility’s is converting any loudspeaker signal into a balanced or unbalanced
line level signal. It has inputs for 100V, 70V, 50V, 33V and standard 8 Ohm low impedance
speaker signals.

It also offers the possibility to convert a unbalanced line signal into a balanced one, and
vice versa.

The switch on the front panel allows to select between converting a speakersignal into a
line signal, or the conversion of a unbalanced line signal into a balanced line signal.

The in- and outputs of the ATU44 are completely galvanic isolated by means of an audio
isolation transformer.
This makes the ATU44 the perfect solution for solving hum and buzz problems caused by
ground loops.

The inputs are fitted with screw clamp connectors, and the output is fitted with an male
XLR connector.
