Symptom
Power does not turn on.
Cannot make calls.
Calls do not arrive.
No reaction when a key is
pressed.
Warning tone sounds, and

Is the battery pack properly attached?

Properly attach the battery pack. For details, refer to "Replacing the Battery

Is the battery pack charged?

Charge the battery pack.
Did you hold down

Extend the antenna, and make a call at a place where

is not displayed.
Did you input the area code before inputting the phone number?

When making a call to a phone other than a cellphone, first input the area
code even if you are inside the same city.

Hold the tip of the antenna, and extend the antenna until you hear it click into
place.
