Monitoring Agent Status
Agent Status is the availability of an agent to take calls.
Agents must sign in to let the system and the supervisor know
that they are ready to take calls (Available status). Agents
must sign out when they leave their telephones for lunch or
breaks (Unavailable status). Agents sign in and out using
programmed Available buttons or by dialing feature codes.
If the calling group is programmed for Auto Logout, a built-in
safeguard automatically changes the Agent’s Status from
Available to Unavailable if the telephone is not answered in
five rings. When the Agent’s Status is changed to
Unavailable, the telephone remains unavailable for all calling
group calls until the agent signs in.
