CAS Installation
14 Feet or Less From the Control Unit
3. If you are installing the CAS more than 14 feet from the control unit, follow
the instructions below:
Install wiring from the SMDR Module in the control unit to the loca-
tion of the CAS in the same manner that you installed it for your voice
terminals. Refer to the installation guide you received with your com-
munications system.
Plug the loose end of the 4-pair modular jumper cord (not provid-
ed) from the jack field into the jack on the front of the SMDR Module
(Figure 5).
Plug one end of a 14-foot modular cord into the modular wall jack.
Continue to Step 4 below.
