Chapter 2: Using your EeeKeyboard PC
TIPS
:
• ASUS Update requires an Internet connection either through a
network or an Internet Service Provider (ISP).
• This utility is is also available in the Recovery DVD that comes
with your EeeKeyboard PC package.
Updating the BIOS
ASUS Update, a pre-installed utility in your EeeKeyboard PC, allows you
to manage, save, and update the EeeKeyboard PC BIOS in Windows®
environment.
To update the BIOS:
1.
From the Easy Mode screen, tap the Fun icon
, then tap
Windows Desktop
to enter the Windows® environment.
2.
Select
Start
>
All Programs
>
ASUS EeeKeyboard PC
Applications
>
ASUSUpdate for Eee Keyboard PC
>
ASUSUpdate
to launch the ASUS Update utility.
3.
From the dropdown list, select
any of the updating process:
Updating from the Internet
a. Select
Update BIOS from the
Internet
, then tap
Next
.
WARNING
! Updating the BIOS is potentially risky. DO NOT update
the BIOS unless it is absolutely necessary.
