Default Encoding Type
The Default Encoding Type option is used to set
the default character encoding properties. You can
select
BIG5 or GB2312 .
Display Characteristic
The Settings > Phone Setup > Display Charac-
teristic option enables you to change wallpaper
image, screen saver image, power on display,
power off display, date and time display, and
showing your own number.
Wallpaper
To set the wallpaper:
1.
From the main menu, press
Settings > Phone Setup > Display Charac-
teristic > Wallpaper .
2. Select the System option from the wallpaper
menu.
3. Use the joystick to highlight an image to use
as wallpaper and press the
Enter key to con-
firm.
You can also choose your own picture as wallpa-
per. Instead of choosing a
System wallpaper,
select User Define and browse to the location of
the picture.
Screen Saver
To set the screen saver:
1.
From the main menu, press
Settings > Phone Setup > Display Charac-
teristic > Screen Saver.
2. Use the joystick to highlight the Setting
option.
3. Use the joystick to highlight the Status option
and use the joystick left and right keys to set
the screen saver to
On or Off status.
4. Use the joystick to highlight the Waiting
option and use the joystick left and right keys
to set the screen saver waiting time.
5. Press the Left Soft Key to confirm the
settings.
Select a screen saver using the
Select option
in the same way that you selected a wallpa-
per.
Power On Display
To set the Power On Display:
1.
From the main menu, press
Settings > Phone Setup > Display Charac-
teristic > Power On Display .
2. Select the System option from the menu.
3. Use the joystick to highlight an image to use
and press the
Enter key to confirm.
You can also choose your own picture. Instead of
choosing a
System picture, select User Define
and browse to the location of the picture.
