4.5 Administration
4.5.1 System
The
System
page allows you to configure your wireless router
settings.
To set up the System settings:
1. From the navigation panel, go to
Advanced Settings
>
Administration
>
System
tab.
2. You can configure the following settings:
•
Administrator Password
: You can change the password and
login name for the wireless router by entering a new name
and password.
• Login Timeout
: Most Web administrators set this
property to 10 minutes. It should not be set higher than
20 minutes (except in special cases) because every open
session is holding onto memory.
•
Time and Time Zone
: Select the time and time zone for your
network.
• Time Zone
: Adjust time zone according to the location
of the router.
• Daylight Saving Time (DST)
: If your region adopts
daylight saving time (DST), enable this option.
• NTP Server
: The wireless router can access a NTP
(Network time Protocol) server in order to synchronize
the time.
• Web Access from WAN:

Enable Web Access from
: Select
Enable
to allow
devices outside the network to access the wireless router
GUI settings. Select
Disable
to prevent access.
•
Permitted IP Address
:
•
Any IP address can remotely manage the wireless
router.
•
Only allow specific IP
: Enter the WAN IP addresses
of networking devices allowed to access the wireless
router settings from WAN.
