6. 

Apply a small amount of pressure against the door to hold it 

in position. Then, release the two upper latches.

7. 

Carefully grip the glass door at the top and bottom, and 

remove it from the fireplace.

NOTE: 

Place the glass door in a secure location where it will 

not be damaged until reinstrallation.

INSTALL THE LOGS AND DECORATIVE VOLCANIC STONE

NOTE: 

Turn OFF all electricity to the appliance before 

installing volcanic stone, and logs.

NOTE: 

The log set and burner are designed to provide an 

artistic, asymmetrical fire. The fire does not burn in the left rear 

quarter of the log set.

1. 

Align the two holes in the bottom of Log 1 over the two tabs 

at the rear of the burner (

Hold Log 1 in position while placing Log 2 on the burner and 

resting it against the alignment notch in Log 1 (

Place Log 3 in position with the base aligned in the burner 

surface (

Insert the left end of Log 4 under Log 3 and position the right end 

of Log 4 in the notch on the top, right end of Log 3 (

Figure 4

).

Ensure all logs are properly positioned on the surface of the 

burner and interlocked with each other (

Figure 4

).

6. 

Place Log 5 in position in the notches on the upper right 

portions of Logs 1 and 3 (

Place Log 6 in position in the notches near the left ends of 

Logs 2 and 3 (

Figure 5

).

If Installed, position and secure the andirons.

9. 

Place the volcanic stone generously in front of the burner on 

the ramped sub‑floor. In an artistic manner, blend the volcanic 

stone with the glowing embers in front of the log set, to 

simulate a diminishing ember bed.

FIREPLACE REASSEMBLY
1. 

With an ammonia‑free glass cleaner and soft, non‑abrasive cloth, 

remove smudges from the inner surface of the glass door.

2. 

Carefully position the glass door in front of the firebox 

with the gasket properly seated, and hook the two top door 

latches over the door frame. Then, hook the two bottom 

door latches over the door frame.

3. 

Locate the surround trim assembly mounting slots on the 

left and right sides of the firebox. Align the surround trim 

assembly with the mounting slots and press in and down to 

lower the surround into position. Reinstall the left and right 

side finish trim gap fillers.

4. 

With an ammonia‑free glass cleaner and a soft, non‑abrasive 

cloth, remove fingerprints and smudges from the front 

surface of the glass door and the surround trim assembly.
