4. THE TILTABLE ARM DOES NOT MOVE AT ALL
CAUSE
SOLUTION
Counterweights are situated in a
higher weight than this of the person
on the scale.
Put counterweights in a lower weight.
The transmission rod is loose.
Hook the transmission rod in the lever
extension (figure 2).
Transmission rod is connected in a
wrong way.
Hook transmission rod properly
(figure 2).
Graduated rule is in blockage position
(upwards)
Turn down the blockage of the
graduated rule.

:
In order to maintain the exactness of the graduated rule and
prolong its life, manipulate the big counterweight lifting it up without
touching the mortises.
