Installing a Power Supply Module
To replace a failed power supply module with a new power supply module:
1. Remove the failed power supply module. For more details, see
Removing a 550-AC-PSU Power Supply
2. Align the power supply module with the opening in the gateway.
3. Insert the power supply module into the gateway until the tab securely engages on to the gateway.
4. Insert the AC power cord in the AC connector on the power supply module.
5. Secure the AC power cord using the cable retention holder attached on the power supply module.
If you are adding an additional power supply module:
1. Remove the filler panel in PSU slot by pulling the tab on filler panel towards the left and sliding it out using
the handle.
2. Align the additional power supply module with the opening in the gateway.
3. Insert the power supply module into the gateway until the tab securely engages on to the gateway.
4. Insert the power cord in the AC connector on the power supply module.
5. Secure the AC power cord using the cable retention holder attached on the power supply module.
Removing a 550-AC-PSU Power Supply Module
To remove a 550-AC-PSU power supply module from a gateway:
1. Loosen the cable retention holder that is securely holding the AC power cord.
2. Pull the AC power cord from the power supply module.
3. Lift the handle on the power supply module.
4. Pull the tab on the power supply module towards the left and slide it out using the handle.
5. If you are not replacing the power supply module immediately, ensure to install a filler panel that was
included with your gateway. To install the filler panel:
a. Align the filler panel with the opening in the gateway.
b. Slide the filler panel into the gateway until the tab securely engages on to the gateway.

Never insert or remove a power supply while the power cord is connected. Verify that cord has been
disconnected from the power supply before installation or removal.
Use standard ESD precautions when installing or removing a power supply module.
