INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION
DRAIN OF CONDENSED WATER INTO TANK
Before connecting the dehumidifier, be sure that:
- it is placed on a steady and horizontal surface;
- a free space of 50 cm at least is left from the air intake and outlet grille
- it is placed far from heat sources;
- the condensed water tank is inserted;
- the power cable is completely unwounded from its seat;
- thank to the air outlet in the upper panel, the appliance can be
leant against a wall without any problem (see fig.)
The condensed water collecting can be carried out in two ways:
- in the tank (to be emptied periodically)
- directly into a drain.
When the condensed water tank is full, the dehumidifier switches
off automatically and the red “tank full” light switches on (in the
electronic model there is also an acoustic signal).
Lift the tank slightly seizing it strongly sideways and pull towards
you (see fig. 1). The full tank can be heavy: if its withdrawal is dif-
ficult, keep a hand on the side and lift it from the bottom as
showed in the detail (fig. 2).
Be careful not to put the full tank on the floor as it is unstable.
Position the tank inside the unit again by using the inverse procedure
than the one used to withdraw it.
DIRECT DRAIN
The dehumidifier can be connected directly to a drain, so that it
can work without the tank having to be emptied.
WARNING: REMOVE THE PLUG BEFORE
CONNECTING THE DEHUMIDIFIER TO THE
DRAIN.
To connect the dehumidifier to a drain, remove the condensed
water tank and follow the instructions:
1 - On the back of the machine there is a small plastic round block
(fig. 3), remove it by using a screwdriver (N.B.: this operation cau-
ses the small block breaking, so that it is impossible to replace it
after having removed it).
2 – insert the hose supplied with the machine in the hole you have
just opened (fig .4) and push it ahead until it comes out from the
front part of the machine.
3 – with your hands insert the hose in the drain pipette situated
under the air intake grille. For a better safety, we recommend to
tighten everything with a clamp (fig. 5).
4 – to complete the operations, insert the tank again which has now
just a finishing aesthetic function for the machine.
To return to the standard drain, switch the machine off and wait
until the hose is completely empty: then remove it and insert the
condensed water collecting tank.
NOTE: make sure that the drainage hose remains lower than the
unit exit level in order to provide the incline required for water
outflow.
