2.5.3 HOIST - Attaching ARV-QC to hoist hook
• When attaching a packaged victim directly
to a hoist hook the attachment should be
executed as depicted.
• Attach the hoist hook directly into the large
eye of the Key-Lock Lift System.
• This configuration is for hoisting a victim
without an attendant.
• Verify the hoist hook is locked and properly
pre-loaded before lift.
• Air Rescue Systems strongly recommends
tag line techniques to be utilized during
single rider static hoist operations.
2.5.2 SHORT HAUL - Attaching ARV-QC to a HELA Rig
• When attaching a packaged victim to
a shorthaul HELA Rig the attachment
should be executed as depicted.
• Attach one paired leg of HELA Rig
carabiners directly into the large eye
of the Key-Lock Lift System.
• Attach the second paired leg of the
HELA Rig carabiners to the attachment
point of the attending rescuer’s
harness.
• Verify all carabiners are locked and
properly pre-loaded before lift.
