CHASSIS ADJUSTMENTS
–
what we have found from our testing
ACKERMAN
– top holes on stub arm will speed up reaction of steering,
lower hole will slow reaction on steering
SOFTER AXLE
– Softer axle will give more grip.
FRONT RIDE HIEGHT
– lowering front of chassis will give more steering
REAR CRASH BAR
– loosening rear crash bar will give more grip
900 mm WHEELBASE
– this wheelbase may work better on smaller
tighter tracks, it will generally give the kart better change of direction
920 mm WHEELBASE
– this is standard wheelbase
940 mm WHEELBASE
– this wheelbase may work better on long flowing
tracks as it will give more grip and stability
LEAD
– we recommend placing lead under the seat. If you require more
than 4 kg you can place on side of seat or if need be on rear of seat. We
only recommend putting lead on rear of seat if driver is small or kart is lack
rear grip. Note – that placement of lead on kart WILL have an effect to the
kart balance, so testing lead position is a good idea.
