2.4.2 Connection
2.4.2.1
АСМ
-IP2.1 can be connected:
а)
via 100BaseT Ethernet interface. The on-site connection is carried out using
multi-wire UTP type cable, crimped with RJ-45 plugs, which is connected to Eth
RJ-45 connector (pin assignment is given in Table A.1). On the other side, the
cable is connected to a network unit with PoE plus injector function.
б)
via –IN –OUT 0 V 0 V connector (pin assignment of the connector is given in
Table
А
.1) by a cable with maximum wire cross-section of 28 to 12 (AWG)
(maximum cross-section of crimped wire is 3.3 mm
2
) crimped by a connector
from the scope of supply. On the other end, the cable is connected to the
external 48 VDC power supply min. 15 W.
2.4.2.2 A terminal device is connected to the Line connector (pin assignment of the
connector is given in Table
.1) by a cable with maximum wire cross-section of 28 to 16
(AWG) (maximum cross-section of crimped wire is 0.5 to 1.5 mm
2
) crimped by a connector
from the scope of supply.
2.4.2.3 A B CP +V (pin assignment of the connector is given in Table
.1) is connected
to an analog line and transformer central point control lines. Connection is done using a
cable 28 to 16 (AWG) in cross-section (cross-section of crimped wire is 0.5 to 1.5 mm
2
)
crimped by a connector from the scope of supply. Terminal devices are connected on the
other side of the cable.
2.4.2.4 The availability of reverse polarity protection at the ACM-IP2.1 input prevents
damage to the device, and so the performance of the device is not affected when reverse
polarity supply voltage is applied across contacts 1, 3 and 4 of -IN –OUT 0 V 0 V connector.
Contact 2 (-OUT) is not protected against reverse polarity and is an output.
2.4.2.5 Connection examples are given in Appendix B.
2.4.2.6 Connection cables are not included in the scope of supply.
