6. MAINTENANCE
Preventative Maintenance
The Prioma overbed tables are designed to provide years of trouble free service, however
after prolonged or improper use the castors, mechanical lift mechanism and rollers or tilt
mechanism (Rastomat) may become worn or damaged.
The following preventative maintenance procedures should be carried out every 12 months
unless otherwise specified.
WARNING
Before starting any service or maintenance procedures, ensure that the equipment
has been adequately decontaminated.
Avoid skin contact with lubricants. Rubber gloves and protective clothing should be
worn when carrying out maintenance work.
Use only replacement spare parts that are approved by Arjo.
Dispose of waste components and materials safely in accordance with applicable
national and local regulations.
Other than general maintenance activities all other service or repair work must
be performed by qualified and trained persons who are approved by Arjo.
•
Check that the height adjustment mechanism functions smoothly and that the main
table locks securely in position over the full range of the Overbed Table height.
•
Check (every 3 months) that all four castors are securely fixed to the base frame
and that they swivel and rotate freely. Remove any debris that may have been
picked up by the wheels.
•
Check that the split tabletop operates smoothly and locks securely at each tilt
position – Variant OBT2 only.
•
Check for any damage to the base frame moulded cover – Variants OBT1 & OBT2
only.
•
Inspect product regularly for signs of wear. Any suspected faults or damage should
immediately be reported to the supplier and the product taken out of service.
