Using the DUAL-LOOP ATTACHMENT STRAPS

WARNING

: Before raising the patient, always 

make sure the 

Ferno Scoop EXL Stretcher

 is 

not caught on any obstructions (i.e. the bed 

headboard or footboard). Catching on such an 

obstruction could result in the patient falling.

 

6)  Raise  the  patient  sufficiently  to  clear  the  bed/

hospital stretcher (See Fig. 6).

Proceed with the transfer.

NOTE: When transferring the patient through a 

door, rotate the stretcher frame until the patient’s 

head  is  close  to  the  mast  (see  Fig. 7).  In  this 

position, the complete unit may be moved through 

wide doorways.

Lower the patient down onto the new location.

When the patient’s body weight is fully 

 

 

 

unsupported, unhook the straps from the 

stretcher frame.

10) Roll the Maxi Move away.
11) 

Open the latches and gently slide the two 

stretcher sections from underneath the patient. 

Reconnect the 

Ferno Scoop EXL Stretcher

 for 

further use.
