Maintenance of your Refrigerator
Unplug your refrigerator before you start to clean it.
Repeat the same procedure in order to plug in your
refrigerator. Plug it and set the temperature of the
freezer compartment.
Maintenance and cleaning procedure
HOLIDAY FUNCTION
: When you go on holiday, bad
smell will form inside your refrigerator which you leave
closed. By using the holiday function, you can prevent
such bad smells. By using this special function, the
freezing compartment will continue to work at the
minimum temperature (-18ºC). If you also set the fridge
compartment to HOLIDAY function manually, your
refrigerator will continue to work while you are on
holiday, keep the food in the freezer compartment in
optimum conditions and guarantee a minimum of
energy consumption.

Place food that has too distinct smell in closed
containers into your refrigerator. This will help you
prevent bad smells.

As a cleaning material or detergent, use a mild-hot
water with sodium bicarbonate or the special
detergent which you can obtain from the Ariston
Customer Services. We recommend you to use a soft
sponge for the cleaning process.

Never use any cutting tools or any abrasive materials.

Clean all detachable parts with soap and hot water.
Dry them out completely before placing them back
into your refrigerator again.

If you are not going to use your refrigerator for a long
time, pull out its plug and leave its doors open.
Problems and Solutions/Troubleshooting
If temperature indicator panel is completely off

Whether there is any power at the socket.
The compressor does not start up

Have 8 minutes passed after you have powered up
your refrigerator?
The refrigerator you have purchased has a
compressor protection system. The compressor will
start 8 minutes after you have powered up your
refrigerator.
The fridge and freezer compartments do not
cool down sufficiently
Control

Whether the doors are closed or not and whether the
inner gaskets of the doors are correct and whole;
- Whether or not the doors have been left open for a
long time;

Whether or not the thermostat knob in the fridge
compartment is in the right position;

Whether or not the freezer compartment has cooled
down to much.
The food cools down too much
Control

Whether the temperature of the set freezer
compartment is too low;
The compressor is working all the time
Control
-
Whether or not you have activated the super freezing
function;

Whether or not the ambient temperature is too high;
-
Whether or not the thermostat is in the right
position.
If you still cannot solve the problems above, apply to the
nearest Ariston Customer Services and ask for their help.
The problem at your refrigerator will be remedied as
soon as possible.
