Depending on the system and application, further measurements and actions may be required
before the system can function satisfactorily. For instance:
- Use additional external capacitors
- Measures to establish electromagnetic compatibility
- Measures for sound insulation
- Measures to protect against accidental contact with hot surfaces.
Results:
•
All parameters are set.
•
All design measures have been determined and implemented.
•
The VECTOPOWER is ready for operation.
•
ARADEX AG recommends observing the behavior of the device during real operation and
making further adjustments if necessary.
i
Note on malfunctions
For each individual application, a parameter set (I/Os with values) and, if required, modules (to
extend the functionality) are created in VE. These are specially adapted to a VE version.
If the VE version is changed, the modules are not executed correctly and the I/Os are not called
or stored correctly. These problems usually occur when VE is started. In very rare cases,
malfunctions may occur during operation.
•
Use the VE version for which the parameter set and the modules were created.
•
Note the version of the software (VE, VEConfig, parameter set, modules, higher-level control)
with which the initial commissioning was carried out. Make a backup copy of the files and
software with which the initial commissioning was carried out. Do the same for updates.
•
Observe the compatibility in the case of future updates.
6.4.5
Commissioning for a series application
Information:
During commissioning for a series application, an existing parameter set is transferred to another
device. This parameter set was created during initial commissioning and further adapted during
operation.
This manual describes how to transfer the parameter set to the VECTOPOWER via CAN bus using a
computer and VEConfig. The device is then connected to the higher-level control.
