Assembly

1)  Locate a flat, dry area with access to electrical outlet or extension cord.

IMPORTANT:

Because of the size of the Runway, and the fact that it often

attaches to other Aquapark items, careful thought must be given to the setup

area. The best setup position will also make launching easy, so ideally the

Runway tube should be carefully carried into position at the water’s edge.

NOTE:

Dragging or sliding the Runway over ground either before or after

inflation can cause damage.

2)  Once in the setup/ launch position, unroll the Runway

 in position and locate

the valve.

If the Runway is to be attached to another Aquapark item, we

suggest attaching with the Runway deflated. Attach using the 5 Interloc straps

(provided) and as many Interloc rings as are available on your item (5 rings

ideally, MINIMUM 2 rings). See the Interloc instructions below for details.

3)  Once attached,

inflate the Runway to 1.5 psi.

  As with any inflatable, take

caution on the inflation pressure and do not over inflate.  Do NOT leave the

Runway inflated in hot sun on the beach with full pressure as this will cause

damage to the product.

    WARNING:

Do not use an air compressor to inflate tube. Air compressors

are designed for high pressure inflation and can cause damage to the product

if over-inflated.

NOTE:

It is also possible to attach the Runway after launch. In this case,

inflate the platform and have a swimmer attach from the water. Follow the

Interloc strap instructions below.

4)

To launch the product, make sure to have at least 4 people evenly spaced

around the product to help carry it.

NEVER DRAG THE RUNWAY!

YOU MUST LIFT AND SET TO AVOID ANY ACCIDENTAL

TEARING ON SHARP OBJECTS.

The Runway can be used as a stand-alone platform or as an accessory and

sliding/ walking feature for your Aquapark.

Anchoring

IMPORTANT:

Proper anchoring is essential to the safety and performance of

your product. Due to the wide variety of conditions, we advise using a profes

-

sional skilled in mooring and anchoring, and experienced with local conditions.

If improperly anchored, the product can move and/or float away. Aquaglide,

Inc. is not responsible for any damage, injuries or losses due to improper

anchoring.

Here are some general guidelines for anchoring your product. These guidelines

are not intended to replace the need for professional installation.

1)  Choose your location for your Runway.  Place the product in at least 8 ft. of

water depth and in an area protected from the wind and boat traffic.  Review

your lake rules and restrictions with your local authorities.

2)  Carefully check area under the product for sharp or dangerous objects (i.e.

rocks or stumps).

3)  Keep a safe distance from docks, boats, boat lifts, and any other structures.

4)  Anchors and anchor line are sold separately from the Runway.  We recom

-

mend at least 80 lbs. of weight for the Runway.  Heavier anchors (200 lbs. or

more) should be used with Aquaparks or on large, windy bodies of water.

5)  If the Runway is being used as a stand alone item, securely connect the

anchor line to AT LEAST one of the Interloc rings on the underside of the

Runway.  Allow 2-3 feet of slack in the line before securely knotting the line

at the swivel.  This will allow the Runway movement in wind or waves without

displacing your anchor.

6)  If the Runway is secured to a larger item with a heavy mooring, it is accept

-

able to allow the Runway to swing freely. It is also acceptable to use a

secondary mooring at the end of the Runway to limit movement.

7)  If strong winds or storms are expected, it is best to remove the Runway from

the water and deflate it.

Care and Maintenance

1)  While your product has been initially treated with UV protectant, long-term

exposure to sunlight will damage the product. Regularly apply a UV pro

-

tectant to the exposed surface of the tube to ensure the life of your product.

We reccomend using ONLY 303 UV Protectant intended for use on vinyl

for this purpose.  Monthly application while the product is in use is required.

NOT DOING THIS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY.

303 UV

Protectant is available at most watersports dealers, or online at

www.303-

products.com.

2)

WARNING:

Certain products, especially petrolium-based solvents, clean

-

ers and protectants such as ArmorAll can damage the product and use of

these products will void the warranty.

3)

WARNING:

Use of a high-pressure washer will damage the product and

void the warranty. To clean, use a soft bristle brush with mild soap and fresh

water. 303 UV Protectant contains a ‘safe for vinyl’ cleaner, and can be used

to clean and protect the product at the same time.

4)  Check the inflation of your tube often.  It may appear to have lost air early in

the morning, but will expand once the sun warms it.  Maximum expansion

will occur in the heat of the day.  Under-inflation can cause excessive rubbing

where the metal frame rests on the tube.  Proper inflation is important as this

will discourage rodents from chewing and prevent damage from wear.

Storage

1)  Before storing, place the Airport on a clean, level area.  Clean with mild soap

and water and allow to dry completely.  Apply 303 Protectant to the surface

of the tube and spring pad cover before deflating.

2)  Remove ALL of the air from the tube using the deflation end of the high

output inflator/deflator.  If some air is left in the tube, it may freeze causing

cracking.

3)  Remove ALL of the air from the tube using the deflation end of the high

output inflator/deflator.  If some air is left in the tube, it may freeze causing

cracking.

4)  Store the Airport out of direct sunlight and protected from the environment in

a clean, dry location.  It is best to store inside a container with moth balls to

prevent damage from rodents.  NEVER store uncovered, in a damp location,

or on a concrete surface! NEVER store at temperatures below 40 degrees F.

Attaching the Interloc strap

Install the Interloc straps to the Runway as shown below.

1)  Insert the velcro end of the strap through the other end (looped end) and

cinch in place (see steps 1-3 below).  Make sure that the white Interloc logos

on the velcro are facing up. Once attached, move on to ‘Using the Interloc

strap system’
