Transfer Person
•
Lock the 2 rear wheel brakes during the transfer. Do not unlock the rear wheels for a transfer, as the
lift could then move and cause injury.
•
Lift one or both of the arm supports on the seat depending on the person.
•
Keep fingers and hands away from the two straps of the hoist during use.
•
Raise or lower the seat to get the correct height for the transfer.
•
Place the user on the seat ensuring that their body is centered on the seat.
•
Lower both of the arm supports on the seat.
•
Attach the safety belt.
If the user has a wheelchair, keep nearby for easy retrieval.
Transport to pool edge
•
Place down the braking carpet on pool edge and release rear brakes to move.
•
Don't position any further than 1m from pool edge. Position the uni-kart on the braking carpet.
•
Lock both rear wheel brakes
•
Keep fingers and hands away from the straps of the hoist during use.
•
The person is thus ready to be put in water.
Lowering into the water
•
Lower the seat down in the water with the hand winch by turning in the anti-clockwise direction.
Keep fingers and hands away from the straps of the hoist during use.
